Kobelco Research Institute, Inc. ("Kobelco") recognizes an important obligation to properly protect the personal information of all parties ("individuals") submitting personal information to our firm, foremost among them customers and transaction partners. To fulfill this obligation, our handling of personal information is based on the following policy.

We adhere strictly to laws concerning protection of personal information and other laws and regulations applicable to personal information, and we handle such information appropriately, with adherence to generally accepted practices for the handling of personal information. We also make efforts to improve such handling as needed. 2. When disclosure or provision of data is requested for legal or regulatory purposes 4. When necessary to protect human life or health, or property, and obtaining consent from the individual is impractical 5. When personal data are shared with specific parties, and the individual receives advance notification or disclosure of the elements of personal data shared and the scope of parties sharing such use ________________________________________ Ⅳ） Disclosure When an individual requests voluntarily that Kobelco disclose stored personal data, Kobelco will confirm that the individual making such request is the individual concerned and will respond in a reasonable time frame and to a reasonable extent. ________________________________________ Ⅴ） Corrections, Deletions, and Other Modifications When an individual requests that Kobelco correct, add, or delete stored personal information, Kobelco will confirm that the individual making such request is the individual concerned and will correct, add, or delete the information in a reasonable time frame and to a reasonable extent if the current information differs from the actual information. ________________________________________ Ⅵ） Discontinuation of Use and Deletion When an individual requests voluntarily that Kobelco delete or discontinue use of stored personal data, Kobelco will confirm that the individual making such request is the individual concerned and will respond in a reasonable time frame and to a reasonable extent. If some or all of such data are deleted or discontinued from use, Kobelco may no longer be able to provide services as requested through no fault of its own and therefore requests the understanding and cooperation of those concerned (however, information shared in accordance with applicable laws and regulations may not be subject to deletion or discontinuation from use). ________________________________________ Ⅶ）.
